Participants must be entering grades 3 to 6.
Hill's own Ms. Spezzano will introduce different aspects of cheerleading including cheers and chants, jumps, as well as basic level tumbling and stunting. This week will be filled with fun games, as well as teaching some cheers and cheerleading techniques.
Hannah Spezzano was a cheerleader at both the high school and college level. She is excited to teach others more about the sport that she loves. During this full day camp, your child will be able to learn and practice the different aspects of a cheerleading routine including tumbling, stunts, a dance, and a cheer. Campers will practice each of these pieces and put them together to make a short routine. At the end of the week there will be a small showcase for parents to watch and see what they have practiced at camp.
Campers will also watch videos of cheerleading teams at different competition levels and familiarize themselves with the sport. In addition, there will be time for some arts and crafts that involve cheerleading aspects. It is going to be a fun week filled with both being physically active and practicing cheerleading, while also allowing some time for crafts and fun games. Children must be entering grades 3-6 in the fall for this camp.
