Get ready to dive into the world of government, leadership, and active citizenship in our Youth Civics Camp for Grades 6–8! Hosted by Mrs. Hallissey, this hands-on camp brings civics to life as students explore the three branches of government, discover how state and local government work, and learn what it truly means to be an informed and engaged citizen. Campers will investigate the political process, rule of law, citizenship, practice decision-making and debate, and participate in creative activities that build real-world understanding. Throughout the week, students will experience civics in action with exciting field trips to the National Archives, Washington D.C., and a Loudoun County courthouse, and they’ll hear directly from passionate local citizens who make a difference in their communities. This energizing, immersive camp empowers young people to see their role in shaping their country. Participants must be in 3rd- 6th grade to join.
