Week of June 15th

June 15th Lego Camp

Join Mrs. All and use your imagination while playing Legos with friends. We will explore castles, design a metropolitan city, create spaceships and space stations, design a playground and more all while building with Legos. Each day will start with a new group challenge and end with an amazing finished product. Come see what you and your friends can do. Campers must be starting kindergarten in the fall to attend this camp.

June 15th Fairytale Fun

Join Mrs. Finn for a week of whimsical play! This camp is inspired by the adventures of princesses, knights, creatures and fairies from classic and Disney fairytales. We will read stories each day, make our own costumes, build fairy houses, and so much more. Come and spend your Summer days lost in a world of fantasy and fun! Campers must be starting junior kindergarten in the fall to attend this camp.

June 15th - June 26th Theater Camp

Sing! Dance! Act! If you love musical theater or performing, you will want to join the Hill School 4th-9th grade performing arts camp for our summer musical production. Camp days will be filled with theater games, singing, dancing, helping to build and paint sets and, of course, rehearsals for our show. Auditions will be held on the first day of camp, and this two week camp will culminate in a final evening performance for friends, family and the community. Come join the show and join the fun! Please note that your child should be entering grades 4-9 in the fall to register for this camp. Production will be determined based on camp enrollment at the end of May.

June 22nd Future Leaders Civics Camp

Get ready to dive into the world of government, leadership, and active citizenship in our Youth Civics Camp for Grades 6–8! Hosted by Mrs. Hallissey, this hands-on camp brings civics to life as students explore the three branches of government, discover how state and local government work, and learn what it truly means to be an informed and engaged citizen. Campers will investigate the political process, rule of law, citizenship, practice decision-making and debate, and participate in creative activities that build real-world understanding. Throughout the week, students will experience civics in action with exciting field trips to the National Archives, Washington D.C., and a Loudoun County courthouse, and they’ll hear directly from passionate local citizens who make a difference in their communities. This energizing, immersive camp empowers young people to see their role in shaping their country. Participants must be in 3rd- 6th grade to join.

June 22nd Winter in June

Who says winter fun has to wait for cold weather? Join Mrs. Donohoe at Winter in June Camp. Campers will step into a cozy, festive world full of holiday cheer—right in the middle of summer! Each day is packed with winter-themed crafts, playful games, and hands-on activities inspired by the magic of the season. Campers will create holiday art, enjoy fun wintery snacks, and play imaginative group games that bring snowy vibes without the frostbite. Think twinkly fun, cozy creativity, and lots of laughter—perfect for kids who love crafts, pretend play, and a little seasonal sparkle all year long. This camp is open for children in kindergarten - 4th grade.

June 22nd Campus Games

Campers will meet to spend the day playing a variety of their favorite games. Campers will have the ability to choose the games that are played. An important goal of the camp is to utilize the beautiful campus at Hill School. We will play Infection around the academic buildings. Use the fields for soccer, capture the flag, kickball, and escape. In the gym we will play dodgeball, Zombie Outbreak, and basketball. There is no limit to amount and types of games we will play! Come join Mr. Kirven for a fun week of games, running around, and laughs!

June 22nd Studio Ghibli Cooking Camp

You have taken Film & Foods—now Ms. Dornin is back for more fun in the kitchen! This camp blends the magic of movies with hands-on cooking, featuring films from the imaginative world of Studio Ghibli. Known for their breathtaking animation, whimsical characters, and richly detailed food scenes, Studio Ghibli films make you feel like you can taste what’s on screen—and now you actually can. Campers will watch selections from beloved Ghibli movies and recreate iconic dishes inspired by them, exploring flavors, techniques, and the cultural influences behind the food. From cozy comfort meals to fantastical treats, participants will cook, learn, and enjoy the art of storytelling through food. Participants must be in 4th–8th grade to join.

June 29th Happy Birthday America!

Join Mrs. Donohoe to celebrate our country’s big birthday—250 years of the USA! Campers will enjoy a week full of red, white, and blue fun with hands-on activities and all-American spirit. We’ll create tie-dye masterpieces, make special themed snacks, and play a variety of games and outdoor activities that encourage teamwork, creativity, and lots of summer fun.

This festive camp is the perfect way to celebrate, create, and play while getting into the spirit of our nation’s birthday—Camp-USA style! Must be in kindergarten – 4th Grade.

June 29th Speak-Up Lab: Debate and Discourse Essentials

Join Mrs. Mrs. Hallissey for Speak Up Lab: Debate, and Discourse Essentials is a dynamic debate camp designed for 6th-8th graders to develop key communication skills. Students will learn and practice public speaking essentials, persuasive and argumentative speaking tactics, logical fallacies, research and critical thinking skills, and the structure of different debate formats. With daily opportunities to debate their peers, students will experience two debate formats: Public Forum and Policy Debate. Whether you love to argue or you are interested in doing debate formally, this camp is for you! 4th - 8th grade.

From big blocks to tiny blocks, solo cups to sticks and rocks, blocks as light as air to heavy duty wooden ones, at Builders camp, you will get to work with all types of building materials on your own or with friends to make new worlds indoors and out. July 13th Future Diplomats

4th -6th Grade: Join Mrs. Hallissey for an exciting week of Model United Nations, where students become young global leaders! Campers will learn how the United Nations works, explore countries around the world, and take part in fun, engaging simulations where they research and represent a nation facing a real-world challenge. Throughout the week, students will build confidence in writing and speaking, practice teamwork and negotiation, and develop awareness of international issues—all in a supportive, hands-on environment. The camp will conclude with a special Friday delegation session where students will represent a country in the MUN General Assembly meeting.

July 13th Kickin' it Old School

Take a step back in time with Mrs. Fedorchak to the crafts and games of the '70's and '80's.  Think Friendship Bracelets, Tie-dye, macrame, pet rocks, shrinky dinks, sand art in a bottle, and tissue paper art.  We will also do gross motor outdoor games from the days of old.  These include Red Rover, Spud, Skip It and more. Campers must be entering kindergarten - 3rd grade to participate.

July 13th Super Hero Academy

Calling all superheroes! Campers will spend the week with Chloe Killinger building their super suit and superhero persona, while honing their super hero abilities through different activities and games. At the end of the week, each camper will receive their official super diploma! And if a certain super villain happens to appear ... they will be ready to defeat him and foil his plans! Campers must be entering junior kindergarten - 3rd grade to participate.

July 13th Writers Workshop

6th- 8th Grade. Calling all writers! Come join Ms. Wilkinson for Hill School's writing workshop where we will design our own writing notebooks and hone your skills! Writer's will fill their notebooks with free writing, figurative language, journal entries, observations and fun prompts! To get inspiration, we will play games, delve into all five of our senses, and explore the nature around us! The week will end with a writer's showcase where each camper will have the chance to share one of their finished works!

July 20th Five Days of Holidays!

Have you ever wished you could celebrate winter holidays in the summer? Or dress up for Halloween in July? Well now you can! Campers will spend five days enjoying their favorite holidays back to back. Search for four leaf clovers for St. Patrick's day, and make a paper bouquet for Valentines day! July 20th Shakespeare & Sports

Each morning your child will join Ms. Beifuss and step into the world of Shakespeare with a fun-filled and creative camp for rising 4th-8th graders! Over the course of the week, campers will explore the magic of Shakespeare and the Renaissance through a variety of exciting activities. Campers will have the chance to act scenes, channel the Bard by writing their own poetry, learn about witches and fairies, create Shakespeare-inspired artwork, participate in Renaissance dances and games, and try their hands at baking some Renaissance treats! Throughout the week, we will be immersed in the fascinating world of the 16th and 17th centuries, celebrating the timeless legacy of Shakespeare in a fun, hands-on way. 

 

In the afternoons campers will spend time with Mr. Schroder for classic games and sports. They might go to the pool, play a pickup game, or take part in some summer classics like Kick the Can.

July 20th Stop Motion Camp

Brought to you by Mrs. Donohoe: Children explore the world of stop motion by viewing and creating short films. We will use a variety of materials including clay, small toys, Lego, art supplies, and more. We will watch classics such as Gumby as well as modern works to learn about and be inspired by stop motion art. Friday will be our premier day where each child chooses some of their work to share with the group. Children must be entering grades 2-8 in the fall.

3rd - 6th: Calling all book lovers! Step into Storybook Wonderland, where we’ll explore a new story each day and bring its themes to life through creative crafts, interactive games, and exciting scavenger hunts. Campers will build their own reading forts, cozy up for book-inspired movie moments, and dive deep into imaginative adventures together.

August 10th Jory John Author Study

Spend time with Mrs. Fedorchak for the Jory John Author Study. The collection of books including The Bad Seed, The Cool Bean, The Couch Potato, The Smart Cookie, The Sour Grape, and The Big Cheese all involve characters learning life lessons about emotional health, perfectionism, and social interaction.  After each book, we will explore the lesson, role play, and do an activity that relates to a character or concept.  These food characters are so cute and imbed important life lessons for the children.  Kindergarten - 3rd grade to participate.

August 10th Volleyball and Sports IQ Athletic Training Camp

Join us this summer for Coach Hallissey’s Volleyball + Athletic Training Camp!

Designed for students entering grades 6–9 (boys and girls welcome), this high-energy camp is open to all levels of volleyball experience.

Campers will build a strong foundation in volleyball fundamentals—serving, passing, setting, hitting, and defensive footwork—while also participating in focused pre-season athletic training. Daily sessions include strength and core work, agility and endurance training, and flexibility/yoga, all designed to develop well-rounded, resilient athletes and help prevent injury.

Beyond physical skills, campers will gain confidence, improved technique, and a competitive edge, all while enjoying fun, fast-paced volleyball games and challenges. Afternoon sessions shift the focus to the whole athlete, helping students learn how to balance academics and athletics, build mental focus and discipline, manage their time effectively, and keep fun and balance at the center of everything they do.

Participants will leave feeling stronger, smarter, conditioned, and ready to compete—prepared to enter the upcoming season with confidence and excitement.

August 17th Kiddie Camp

In Kiddie Camp, incoming Junior Kindergarten and Kindergarten children will meet their teachers, make new friends, and get familiarized with Hill before the start of the school year. Children will enjoy a variety of themed activities including arts and crafts, and games. We will be sure to take advantage of the summer weather with lots of outdoor play! Note that children must be entering Junior Kindergarten or Kindergarten in September 2026 at Hill School in order to attend.
